Since 2022, the Fortezza del Cosplay has welcomed cosplayers and photographers from all over Italy, bringing them to the unique surroundings of Fortezza Verrucole Archeopark and the Garfagnana region to create high-impact shots.

The heart of the event is Fortezza Verrucole Archeopark, a perfectly furnished castle that immerses you directly into the medieval era, nestled among the mountains of Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca. Garfagnana means “great forest,” and it is natural to find yourself surrounded by forests of fir and chestnut trees, streams, rivers, and ancient villages.

Immersed in these sets of ancient or natural charm, participants can put all their artistry to the test! The Fortezza del Cosplay is also an opportunity to socialize, to engage in discussions, and to enjoy collective moments amidst the flavors and relaxation that this land spontaneously offers.

The event is organized by Studium 1984 in collaboration with Studio 110 and Gli Eventi della Tigre, all entities rooted for years in the cultural event and cosplay photography sectors, united by a passion for this world and a strong desire to provide cosplayers and photographers with an event that serves as both a creative opportunity and a way to celebrate and reconnect with the territory, almost like a return home.
